Yvon Boisvert serves as the Department Chair of Electrical Technology at Florida Academy, where he is passionate about introducing both staff and students to cutting-edge technology. His vision is to empower students to excel across diverse fields within the electrical industry and inspire them to innovate, possibly venturing into entrepreneurship and creating their own startups.
Yvon values eagerness, involvement, dedication, and a willingness to learn—qualities he admires in both his colleagues and students. With gratitude, he acknowledges the contributions of those he works for and those who work alongside him, fostering a collaborative environment of mutual respect and growth.
With a rich background in electronics engineering design, Yvon has owned and operated a company specializing in repairing and building radio station installations, contributing to the development of multiple broadcasting stations. His hands-on experience as an electrician has been instrumental in his growth, as he consistently sought out challenging projects, embracing every opportunity to learn and refine his skills.
Under Yvon’s leadership, Florida Academy’s Electrical Technology program strives to equip students with the knowledge, creativity, and confidence to navigate the ever-evolving electrical industry.
